What Causes Severe Stomach Ache While You Are Pregnant?
hello dr..my ninth month is started from today only nd i m hving severe stomacache and after getting ultrasound i got to know that there is a single loop of cord is present arount the neck of my baby and also my afl is 10 cm...is there anything wrong???
You have started 9th month of pregnancy, so now you are about 36+ weeks pregnant. If your pregnancy continues for at least one to two weeks more, it will be better as by 37 weeks, the foetus becomes sufficiently mature for independent existence out of mothers body. If the pain in your abdomen is due to uterine contractions, this is a sign that you may be heading for impending labour. Just put your hands on the uterus when you are having pain. If you feel the uterus becoming hard, it is uterine contraction. If they are strong uterine contractions, please rush to your Maternity hospital.
You need not worry about a single loop of the cord round the neck of the foetus. The baby is continuously moving in the uterus and the loop may get unwound even as late as during labour.
Amniotic fluid index 10 at about 36+ weeks is a good index and is not an issue of concern.
Please take rest as much as possible to delay the initiation of labour pains for some more time, though it is not up to you.
I hope this helps you today.
