Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Severe Stomach Cramps Every Once In A While?
I am a 75 yr old male and have been having occasional bouts of extreme stomach cramps roughly from the navel down. I am lactose intolerant and have had one kidney stone removed several years ago. These bouts last for several days before subsiding and are accompanied by extreme soreness around my crouch and tailbone. Also bowel movements and urination are a bit mainly when the bouts first occur. This has happened about three times in the last two months. For the record, I had a colonoscopy in March of 2016 ( every 5 yrs) . I am trying to make an appointment with my doctor, but would like as much backround as to possible causes prior to seeing my MD.
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, this seems to be multiple complaints and it may not be due to any pathological changes but it seems to be nonspecific , even nothing to take anything with the pass medical history, just to rule out the possibility of systemic disease it is better to go for routine medical check up, some time it could be geriatric symptoms and hope this information helps.
