What Causes Severe Stomach Cramps Followed By Diarrhea?
Hello, I have had stomach cramps for three days. Started with a day of diarrhea and the one day of dark, almost black stool. No blood. Today, my stool was lighter in color but had white web and white noodle looking stuff in it. What could this be. Still cramping in lower part of stomach on both sides and in the mid section. I don t drink or smoke. Thank you

Dear-dark stool most of the time is secondary to old digested blood,which could be from a bleeding gastritis or ulcer. Other possibilities as bacteria or parasite infection should be considered.The pain and cramp in the lower part of the abdomen could be from a duodenal ulcer. I recommend you to see a gastroenterologist for an upper and lower endoscopy for better view of the area.
