What Causes Severe Stomach Cramps, Nausea And Face Swelling Suddenly?

My mom was in the bathroom. She was trying to defecate when she experienced severe stomach cramps, nausea, and her hands turned red. She told me her face swelled up and turned red as well. She put water on her face and then proceeded to lie on the floor.

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history about your Mother having to defecate when she experienced severe stomach cramps, nausea, hands turning red, swollen and reddened face.
This is most probable due to vasovagal syndrome with sympathetic over-activity momentarily.
She might have lesser attacks in the past too.
I would advise her the following:
To get the blood test.
Neurologist's opinion.
To be careful to tell the family when visiting bathroom every time as this attack can recur.
To have clinical evaluation, examination and further tests of stool, urine, related to cardiology and so on.
I find this answer helpful
