General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Slight menstrual irregularities including heavy bleeding can happen after taking birth control pills especially on the initial days of usage.

In most of the cases, the symptoms will settle by itself without any complications.

As a first line management, you can take drugs like tranexamic acid for symptomatic relief.

I symptoms persists better to consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
