I have a severely swollen uvula with abdominal distention and foggy brain especially when the humidity is high. I thought allergies and am taking Claritin and singulair to no avail. I have a history of migraine and cluster headache, dysmenorrhea resulting in hysterectomy and graves disease, thyroid has been ablated. Other symptoms include fatigue, difficulty sleeping and mild anxiety. Any suggestions?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have severely swollen uvula which is due to infection of upper respiratory tract leading to Uvelitis which could be due to due to bacterial or viral infection. Need not t o worry about it. I would suggest you to avoid hot, sharp spicy food. Take diet rich in soft food. Avoid alcohol, tobacco. Take combination of ibuprofen, acetaminophen and antihistamine. Gargle with warm saline rinses. If symptoms still persists visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Take proper course of antibiotics. Take plenty of water to prevent dehydration. Avoid cold beverages in diet. Maintain oral hygiene.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
