Hello. I was diagnosed with having ovarian cysts as well as chronic UTI s. I have back problems as well. But for the past two weeks I have been having really bad sharp cramping in my lower left abdomen where my ovaries are. I am on birth control without the placebo pill, so I never cycle. Do have any idea what is wrong with me?
Unfortunately your situation is complicated because you have multiple conditions that can all cause similar symptoms. In addition, problems with your colon can also cause pelvic pain. Even though you are on oral contraceptives, there are types of ovarian cysts that can develop independently of hormonal conditions.
So it really is not possible to discern what the cause may be without at least an ultrasound examination of your ovaries and a test of your urine. I suggest you see a local OBGYN doctor for evaluation of your symptoms to help you feel better as soon as possible.
I hope this information was helpful, and with proper medical care, I am sure you will feel better soon.
Best wishes, Dr. Brown
