What Causes Sharp Ear Pain And Jaw Pain?

I think I have an ear infection. My right ear hurts so bad with sharp pains and my tragus hurts when i touch it. My jaw also hurts when I move it or when I chew. I usually use q-tips and I think that may be the cause of this? Does it sound serious? Should I get antibiotics? Its very painful to the point i cant sleep or do almost anything. Ibufrofen is the only thing that helps a little.

Hi,
It seems that you are having acute infection in your external ear giving rise enlarged painful lymph nodes giving this problem.
In my opinion you require one course of antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine like Ibuprofen for 3-5 days.
Put antibiotic ear drops.
Ok and take care.
