What Causes Sharp Pain As That Of A Collapsed Lung?

Having sharp pain under right shoulder with slight coughing. Started out with pain on right side of chest this morning as well but that part has stopped. Started about 1AM so it has gotten better. Had a cabg on 1-7-2011. Also had a collapsed lung post surgery. This pain feels a lot like a collapsed lung. I read about pleursy but I haven t had a cold just maybe a few seasonal allergy symptoms. Been thinking it would stop hurting but it hasn t. Should I see my doctor tomorrow or give it more time?

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you should get done atleast Chest x ray. This will tell you weather collapse lung is the cause or not. And yes, pleurisy can be the cause.
If chest x ray is normal, I advice you to consult pulmonologist and get done PFT(Pulmonary Function Test). This will tell you about asthma, bronchitis present or not.
If this is also normal than the pain must be of muscular in nature. take simple pain killers.
Wish you good health.
