What Causes Sharp Pain In Knees?

I have been suffering knee problems in my right knee for a couple months now and i dont think its getting better. I have been having spasms in the knee as well as a lot of sharp pain and collapsing occasionally. Can you help to figure out what the problem is? Thanks
