What Causes Sharp Pain In Nostril?

Yes, I have a friend who has a sharp pain in his right nostril, and gets worse when pressure is put on it. He has tried Tremidol and it works, but he doesn t want to abuse them. I want to know whats wrong, so I can treat it, He has asthma, is 17 and a male.
