Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Your symptoms could be related to a musculo-skeletal pain or a pinched nerve.

For this reason, I would recommend avoid neck movements and take painkillers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen.

I would exclude any cardiac disorders, because your symptoms are not typical of any cardiac issues.

If the problem persists, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical exam and some tests:

- a chest X ray study
- a cervical spine x ray study
- complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation
- a nerve conduction study to exclude a pinched nerve.

A cervical spine CT scan may be needed to exclude a cervical disk herniation.

Hope to have been helpful!

Wishing good health,

Dr. Iliri
