Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My question is, what s wrong with my stomach.ONLY after I eat, I have this sharp pinching pain in my stomach (almost feels like I m being stabbed right below my ribcage. The pain last for up to 5 hours after I ve eaten. After the pinching pain goes away, my stomach is still upset for a couple hours after that, mostly feeling sore. In the past couple weeks, the pain has gotten so bad that I feel lightheaded and may pass out. It doesn t happen every single time I eat. For example, it doesn t hurt when I just eat a small salad. Diabetes and celiac s disease are hereditary in my family, however I ve never been diagnosed with anything or been allergic to anything.
Hi. Thanks for posting your question on HCM. From your history, it seems that you having Peptic ulcer disease. You need to take a bland diet, avoid spicy and junk foods, can take cold milk. However for further evaluation, you should undergo Gastroenterologist consultation and plan Endoscopy of upper GI tract to look for any gastric ulcer. Meanwhile, you can take some antacid preparation for pain relief.
