What Causes Sharp Pain In The Ball Of The Left Foot?
I am having sharp pain in the ball of my left foot. I am 69 years old and I think my feet are getting flat. I wear good, supportive shoes. I have been exercising more in the past year since I retired and I notice the pain after exercising but it can be almost constant, especially when walking. I have not sustained an injury
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
I am sorry for the pain you are feeling in the ball of your left foot. I think you need to see an orthopedic specialist and run X-ray and MRI of the foot to understand what is happening there. Until you see the specialist, avoid exercising and movements of the foot. Take oral analgesic medications. Apply analgesic cream or essential oils locally with a gentle massage.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
