73 yr old female, overweight, take meds for high blood pressure, and med to keep from getting any more blood clots ( had one over a year ago). Meds have been working fine. Have some sharp pains in the center of my right foot. Never had these before. My dr. says my heart is good. What could cause these pains?

Hello,

Welcome and thanks for your query.
The pain is not due to your medicines for high blood pressure or to prevent a venous blood clot. The pain may be due to local cause like muscle or joint pain. It may also be due to a nerve pain either locally or from pinching of the nerve at the back bone leading to sharp, shooting pains. This will require investigations to confirm the diagnosis
Do get back to me if you have further queries.
