What Causes Sharp Pain In The Forehead Along With Blackouts And Dizziness?

I have had a sharp headache in my forhead area going into my temples, I never get headaches. If I stand up or move too quickly, my vision blacks out from my left eye then into my right eye. It makes me dizzy and barfy. I take 40mg of lisinopril for hbp. I am also tapering off my pain meds (norco 10/325 x3 pid) I am down to 5 mg every other day.

Hi,

Blurring of vision on standing up may be due to orthostatic intolerance. So, your blood pressure in supine and standing position should be checked and observed for fall after 3 minutes of standing. That is one common cause of such blurring of vision on standing and must be addressed. It becomes still more important as you are Lisinopril.

Further, these symptoms are in presence of sharp episodic headache probably indicates that a brain scan(preferably MRI) should be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ajay Panwar,
