I have a sharpish pain/discomfort in my right tonsil when I yawn. Swallowing can be difficult and uncomfortable. I had severe sore throat and lethargy a month ago which doctors assumed was strep without properly testing for strep. My tonsils had swelled enormously and had white spots, though I had no fever. I was bedridden for two days and sick for more than a week. I took antibiotics and steroids to relieve the sickness. My left tonsil still seems rather swollen but now my right tonsil has this sudden and mysterious pain.
I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having pain in the right tonsil following an episode of tonsillitis.
This can occur because of severe inflammation of the right tonsil as compared to the left one. This will respond to treatment by the use of anti-inflammatory drugs.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.
Hope this information is helpful to you. Do write back to me for further questions.
