What Causes Sharp Pain In Throat While Laughing Or Talking?
I m at the end of a cold but have noticed that I keep having this sharp pain in my throat. Happens when I laugh, talk to much which isn t alot for me and if I raise my voice. But it doesn t happen every time. I feel like I ve strained my throat but haven t been yelling or coughing. I ve had the same thing happen before when I didn t have a cold. Any suggestions to sooth and make go away.

Well there ca ba many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like sore throat , acid reflux , muscle spasm and viral pharyngitis . But in your case it seems to me that problem is either due to acid reflux or muscle spasm . I Would suggest you to avoid eating spicy and heavy food specially at night , take antacid after every meal and sleep with your head elevated . consult gastroenterologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers or proton pump inhibitor or may refer you to ENT specialist .
