Hello,
The cause of such fever with chills can be due to milk retention in the breasts as the baby is unable to take feeds properly, infection anywhere in the body ranging from the breast, uterus, urinary tract, viral, surgical wound etc. Please let her see a physician for a proper evaluation. Tepid sponging and paracetamol should help tide over the fever. Please also make sure that her blood pressure is within the normal range. Anti-emetics may be given to control vomiting. Increase intake of liquids. Take care.
