What Causes Shooting Pain In Vagina And Anus ?

Hi I have been diagnosed with endometriosis. Had surgery to remove it, but could not remove the ones on the rectum. Now I have another problem. Shooting pains to the vagina and the anus.. The pain is excruciating and tramadol does not help. Please confirm what I have and how to fix it pls. I have had an ultrasound and there were no cysts all clear. Thank you. Kind regds

Hi,

First of all, do not panic.

Your symptoms can be due to endometriosis that is located at the base of the pelvic floor, an area called a Pouch of Douglas and endometriosis in the area between vaginal wall and rectum.

This can cause inflammation and fibrosis locally causing you pain and discomfort.

Please seek prescription support from your treating doctor for Tablet Dienogest.

Follow up USG after 3 months is advisable.
