General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. In such cases advise to do a chest X ray and ECG to rule out problems regarding heart and lung.If it is clear and pain while palpation on rib area is present then the problem is most likely costochondritis. For that i treat with anti inflammatory gels of diclofenac or nimusulide for local application. For some i give oral tablets also.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
