What Causes Shortness Of Breath After Treatment Of Sore Throat?

The previous Saturday I went to the Dr because I had had a sore throat that started that week on Wednesday.I wokeup Saturday and my voice was gone.At the Drs he said looked like my throat was infected,my glands were swollen but he said he usually only sees swollen glandes in people with mono but its too early to tell. My sore throat went away but I am having shortness of breath. Should I go back to the dr? I still have a cough. I live in a house with a wood stove which is my main heat source. Could that be an issue?

Thanks for asking in healthcaremagic forum
Your shortness of breath may be due following cause
a. Spread of upper respiratory infection to lower respiratory tract
b. Due to irritant cough
c. Allergic reaction causing wheezing/shortness of breathe(for any thing including your wood stove fumes)
So, please visit your doctor for physical examination and further management. All the best.
