What Causes Shortness Of Breath And Raised Heart Beats?

I feel like I constantly have to take a deep breath every 2-3 minutes. My heart also feels like it is beating fast and hard. This is NOT due to any exertion at all. This is completely at rest. I am also an MS patient, so I don t know if this is related to a new flare possibly? I have no insurance and have not had for the past 3 years, therefore no neurologist. I do not take any prescription meds except Copaxone. One injection daily.

Hello, raised heart beat can sometimes also be due to the Capaxone you are taking , so kindly corelate your symptoms with the timing of your medication to rule out the cause of your increased heart beat. Other than that there are many other conditions that may cause breathing problem and increased heart rate for eg increased thyroid hormone and anxiety ,anxiety should be the last thing to be ruled out. so pls get your thyroid checked and consult any doctor, need not be a neurologist
