What Causes Shortness Of Breath During A C-section Surgery?
Ok so I was wondering I had child and had to have a c section due to not being able to dilate and when I did they put my epidural to high and didn't know if this was the reason for when he was taking the baby out I felt like I couldn't breath and I wasn't able to move until after he stitched me up

Hi, Thanks for asking. I understand your concern. -The shortness of breath while baby is being extracted out of abdomen during C.S.-- is due to rise in abdominal pressure ( as the surgeon puts hand in abdominal cavity, holds & takes the baby out ).. so diaphragmatic movements while breathing are not possible. - You could not move because of effect of an epidural anesthesia.
