What Causes Shortness Of Breath In A Person With Diarrhoea?
Last night I had diarrhea and during my bowel movement I had a severe asthma attack. This happened 3 weeks ago as well. I had to take a double breathing treatment and hit the inhaler 4-5 times before the wheezing stopped and I could finally breathe again an hour later.
Hi thanks for asking question . Asthma is hypersensitivity condition which is allergic condition. Here you have two possibilities. 1.you might suffer from acute viral infection , that can precipitate asthma attack by broncospasm. When such attack comes for faster improvement you can inhales metered dose inhaler containing salbutamol for 4 to 5 times.Still better you can take nebulization from respule containing levosalbutamol and budesonide. 2.The other possibility is off allergy to particular food.that can also lead to diarrhea and bronchospasm. The food that precipate attack is to be avoided. You might need an metered dose inhaler with containing formeterol for maintainance treatment if necessary. Meanwhile maintain healthy nutrition and keep away from dust as far as possible. Wish you good health Dr.parth
