What Causes Shortness Of Breath When Diagnosed With GERD?
MY STOMACH GROWLS ALMOST CONSTANTLY FOR THE LAST YEAR . I HAVE GERD. I GET SHORT OF BREATH WITH VERY LITTLE EFFORT. I HAVE A 22% curvature of the spine WHICH DID NOT CAUSE ANY PROBLEMS TIL ABOUT A YEAR AGO, BUT NOW IS CAUSING SCIATIC NERVE PAIN. MY FEET ARE NUMB UP TO THE HEEL. FAMILY HISTORY...MOM HAD AORTA BYPASS...SEVERE BLOCKAGE AND OTHER PERIFERAL BLOCKS BUT STRONG HEART TIL LATE IN LIFE..PASSED AT AGE 91 IN RIGHT MIND. COULD SOME OF MY PROBLEMS BE VASCULAR RATHER THAN NERVOUS SYSTEM? DOCS SAID AT THIS TIME NO NEED TO SURGICALLY TREAT SPINE. I AM 71, BP RANGE 120/64 TO 140/73 APPROX. NOT TAKING ANY MEDS FOR VERY HIGH CHOLESTEROL, EXCEPT ASPRIN 360 MG MOST DAYS..HELPS WITH SCIATIC PAIN.
GERD can cause asthma so shortness of blrearh can be due to that. u have high cholesterol family history positive so this shortness of breath can be angina. why ur limbs remained numb. all these things need detailed evaluation. I would advise u to get ur blood sugar. cholesterol and renal function test checked. ECG 2Decho and ETT WILL also be needed. u should start taking cholesterol lowering drugs like atrovastation 10 to 20 mg one at night.
