What Causes Shortness Of Breath With Nausea And Lack Of Appetite?

I have intense pain on the right side above my hip bone. Because of my age doctors have told me it could be a possible Ovarian Cyst but it did not show up on a CT scan or Ultrasound. I have had approximately 2 CT scans and at least 4 Ultrasounds over the past 6 months. When i press on the area its hard and firm compared to my left side. Its painful and uncomfortable. It appears to be somewhat swollen as well. I woke up the other night at about 2 in the morning with intense pain and if i moved it seemed to increase. I could only lay on my back at an approximate 70 degrees. I decided to tough it out until about 3am where i woke my mom up because the pain was so intense. My mom stayed up all night with me and i did not go to the ER because the hospital where i am from seems to only treat you if you re dying, which i wasn t. She took me to the dr. later on where the pain seemed to remain the same. The dr. pressed where i said it hurt and she assumed again it was an ovarian cyst and that i should just take advil. Since than i have had a cold lasting about a week and a half, shortness of breath, intense pain off and on, nausea, and lack of appetite and many more. I do not think this is an ovarian cyst but i would definitely like another dr. s opinion.

Hello dear,
Welcome to health care magic, I have gone through your question very diligently and I really appreciate your concern.

Right sided intense abdominal pain might be related to number of conditions like
1. Appendicitis
2. cholecystitis
3. colitis or intestinal Colic
4. kidney stones or PID
5. mesenteric ischemic disease.
6. acid peptic ulcer or peptic perforation.

Shortness of breath is again a matter of concern, I would advise you to take salbutamol MDI inhaler or theophylline tablet after consulting your doctor till the time a exact diagnosis establishes.

I would advise you to go for an ultrasound abdomen with blood tests like total leucocyte count, CBC, Liver function test, Blood urea, serum creatinine, urine culture and Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy if need be.

Meanwhile I would advise you to take antiacidity medicine like pantoprazole or ranitidine group of drugs with antacids for 4-5days.
You should avoid fatty fried spicy and junk food and carbonated beverages
Have lots of fluids which will help by flushing off the urogenital tract which h clears infection as well as small kidney stones.

Hope you will find my answer informative and useful, please feel free to ask for further assistance, I will gladly answer you.
Best wishes
