Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was reading a bit about dimples out of curiosity, and I was wondering if you could give me a brief rundown about shoulder dimples? I saw a lot of people had them on their shoulders near the point where their arm connects to their body, but mine are closer to the inner edge of my shoulder/my spine than anything I have read about or seen. What generally causes this? Does this effect performance in any way (ie pushups and other activities requiring those muscles?) Thanks
Bilateral skin dimples on the shoulders. cutaneous depressions, commonly known as dimples, are uncommon in locations other than the face. This most likely represents benign autosomal acromial dimples, a rarely reported autosomal dominant condition.
But in muscular body at the junction of trapezius and deltoid muscle junction we got a simple like depression. It will come by hard work and exercise. Please consult with fitness coach he will guide you on right way.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu, Internal Medicine Specialist
