What Causes Sideway Bending Of Toes In A Child?

A few weeks ago I bought new shoes for my 5 yr old daughter & she complained that it felt like she had a splinter in one of her toes. When I looked at her toes, I saw that her toes next to the pinkie toe that they were croaked & bending sideways at almost a 90 degree angle. Other than having to find wider, more comfortable shoes, is that an indication of something more serious? She was a toe walker for many years & finally grew out of it around 4yrs old. We had her checked by a pediatric neurologist a few times for the toe walking when she was 3 - 4yr old, but it came be normal. What do you think?

Hi

You yourself had diagnosed the problem

Get a shoe which is quite wide in the front and not too thick stuff.

A little flexible one is better

when u buy make her wear the shoes and walk a bit in the shop itself to see whether she is OK.

Training her in open front sandals also will help!

Good luck
