Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...Hello, my dad is an alcoholic, drinks every day, wakes up to a bottle of cider, drinks anything, but will buy a £3 bottle of cider with the highest percentage in. He comes up with red blotches on his skin, it looks like blood under the skin, he oftn scratches it and makes it bleed what could this be?

Cannot say without examination, and, the liver makes blood proteins that clot blood and prevent it leaking into the skin. With a lot of alcohol, the liver is damaged and people can bleed easily and seriously.
