What Causes Skin Deformation With Itchy Palms And Red Spots On Feet?
Hi Doctor,Since i moved to Arizona i have noticed some skin deformation on my heels and fingertips. My figertips got all wrinkly and heels started drying out really bad. I also had itchy palms, i noticed a few red dots in my pams too. and some under my feet. Now the red dots and itchiness is gone, however the wrinkled finger tips makes me worried.I would appreciate if you can diagnose these symptoms.
hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.
the symptoms you have described ( itching, red rashes, wrinkly tips) are all suggestive of hand feet eczema.
to improve your eczema I suggest you follow the following: 1. avoid harsh soaps 2. apply emollients lke cetaphil dam cream 4-5 times a day to avoid dryness. 3. apply potent steroids such as halobetasol ointment twice daily till your symptoms resolve.
once you start following the above steps, your eczema should resolve in about 2 weeks. but even after that you need to follow steps 1 and 2 to avoid recurrances.
hope this was helpful. for any further questions please get back to us. thanks.
