What Causes Skin Eruptions As Red Spot With Pain And Discharge?
I have a re recuring problem of skin eruptions that start out as a red spot also painful. It progresses into a hard large spot that is full of pain an eventually forms a blister which then will burst and drain a sticky substance. The pain from these spots are strong and they continue to drain until they dry up and then leave a scar. I have consulted any number of Drs.and Dermatologist with no answer or diagnosis. Can you help? Evelyn Fulton at AJ FULTON YYYY@YYYY YYYY@YYYY
hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.
recurrent painful blisters which burst draining sticky fluid and leave scars are characteristic of recurrent furunculosis. it's a recurring bacterial infection due to nasal/anal/umblical carriage of bacteria.
if such a patient visited my clinic I would start the patient on cap augmentin 625 mg tds. also I would advise him to apply t-bact cream twice daily over umbilicus, nose, ears and anus, for 6 weeks.
also get your blood sugar tested as it can be a sign of diabetes as well.
hope this helps. for any further questions please get back to us. thanks.
