What Causes Skin Rashes Post Application Of Lyclear Dermal Cream?

I was diagnosed with scabies yesterday by my GP and she prescribed me Lyclear. I applied it last night to be washed off this morning when I woke up I had a different rash isolated to my upper legs and lower arms it almost looks like the rash is in the pores on my skin. I am very worried I am not allergic to anything and as I live in Ireland no doctor is open until Monday. Thanks for your time.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

As per your case history, you have allergic dermatitis. My treatment advice is -
1. Don't squeeze the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroids like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Harshit Bhachech
