What Causes Skin Tag On Inner Cheeks After Surgical Extraction?
Hi, I had a surgial extraction 1 done & now i have a piece of thick skin that hanging from my inner cheek. It hurts really bad & i don t know what to do. My husband said it looks like a cut but to me it looks like a shape of a skintag like on someones body. Help me please!
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain a piece of thick skin that hangs from the inner cheek after extraction of tooth can be either a torn skin or can be due to formation of fibroma that is soft tissue over growth.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.. In case if it is torn mucosa it can be gently removed under local anaesthesia.. In case of Fiborma also surgical excision under local anaesthesia can help.. As of now you can apply numbing gel containing Lignocaine.. Take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
