What Causes Skipped Beats And Trouble In Breathing?

Hi..thank you for taking my question..for the past several days my heart feels like it stops beating for a second and I cant breathe. My blood pressure was always low but in the past year it has run between 138-142 (top number) . It is really an uncomfortable feeling. I smoke and drink socially. Is this something to be concerned about?

Hi,

Skipped beats may be due to ventricular ectopic or premature contractions or bigeminy or trigeminy or couplets etc. They may be symptomatic or asymptomatic. It symptomatic need to take treatment.

If asymptomatic dont worry. Avoid spicy food and alcohol, avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Do yoga and meditation daily. Eat green leafy vegetables regularly.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
