What Causes Slanting Of The Braces On Teeth?

I have a question about my braces. So I recently noticed that my slanted downwards from the right to the left, and when I asked my orthodontist about, she told me the levels of my teeth are changing. Does that mean by the time I'll get my braces off, my teeth won't have the slant to it?
Thanks!
