hi my sister is 34 and a half weeks pregnant and she has already ruptured her membrane and is on antibiotics and medication to slow down her labor till they induce her at 36 weeks. she is having a lot of pressure and slimy discharge and feels the urge to have a bowel movement but cant. she asked her boyfriend to have a look down there and he said she is really swollen and cant see anythign due to the discharge. i told her she should head to the hospital but isnt sure if she should go or not
HELLO DEAR I understand your problem, your sister should go tertiary care hospital which has NICU facilities immediately as these are the signs of labour and as your sister has crossed 34 weeks and membrane has been ruptured she should be under monitoring and after the coverage of betamethasone she can be undertaken for delivery as compared to continue pregnancy which can cause infection in mother and in baby as well so immediately consult gynaecologist to asses condition and to plan treatment accordingly. ALL THE BEST THANKS
