What Causes Small Bruise On Eyelid?

I woke up this morning with a small bruised look on my eyelid. When I press it, it doesn't hurt. It looks like what I sometimes get on my finger, but it usually goes away. I've never had this on my eyelid before. Do i need to get this checked out?
