Hi, I am 30 years old and delivered a baby 13 days back. Just now i noticed that i have two lumps of flesh on sides of my anus and there is pain in the lumps during bowel movement and i could feel some small boils in my anus which causes itching. What should i do? Which specialty doctor should i consult?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Respected user, hi I evaluated your query thoroughly .
@ As per your narration , it seems to be hemorrhoids likely .
@ Should seek the advise of a General Surgeon for the diagnosis & further
management ; till that time you can
- manage to have soft stools on daily basis through dietary management
with plenty of liquids, green leafy vegetables, fruits , whole grains , curd
- avoid all oily / spicy / non vegetarian stuffs
- Sitz bath ( sitting in a tub filled with lukewarm water for 10-10 minutes
morning, evening, specially after passing stools ) help a lot
- keep the area clean, dry
- avoid to sit on hard surfaces for long periods
- avoid smoking / alcohol if consuming
- remain ambulatory , regular walking , light exercises
- local application of Xylocaine (5%) jelly help to give soothing effect
- analgesic tablet in case of more discomfort
- discuss with your doctor about all the medicines currently you are taking
at present ( because iron preparations given usually after delivery are
known to produce constipation , hard stools and hemorrhoids )
Hope this clears your query .
Welcome for any further assistance .
