Hi I am noticing flat little bumps around the inside of my vagina. There not there all of the time. I have been told by my gun that I have HPV. I m wondering if that could be the cause of this. Its not too irritating. But it does bother me a little when I touch it. What could this be?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
This are warts caused due to HPV infection. If your warts aren't causing discomfort, you may not need treatment. But if your symptoms include itching, burning and pain, or if visible warts are causing emotional distress, your doctor can help you clear an outbreak with medications or surgery. However, the lesions are likely to come back after treatment. There is no treatment for the virus itself. Your doctor may use Podophyllin or Imiquimod to treat them or burn them will liquid nitrogen.
Hope I have answered your query.
