What Causes Small Clear Bumps On The Elbow And Back Of The Knee?
My 13 year old daughter has small clear bumps on the inside of one elbow and on the back of one of her legs on the back side (near the backside of the knee). These bumps look like they are filled with liquid, but they are not. The look like what a fire ant bite would look like after a couple of days - but they are not from ants. The seem to come and go and are not itchy very often. Thanks.
Hi. As per your case history your daughter is having papular urticaria. My treatment advice is - 1. Wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes. 2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for itching. 4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
