What Causes Small Lump Inside Anus?

I have a small lump on the inside of my anus. It s the size of a pea. I did some research it doesn t sound serious. Something around the lines of hemroid I think. I have noticed it is going down some. Should I get it checked out? It s still there after a few days. No blood, no diarrhea.

General Surgeon 's  Response
hi.

yes, most probably it's a hemorrhoid, an internal one to be more specific. you may have a consultation w a physician preferably a general surgeon, for monitoring and follow-up. the grade of your hemorrhoid is possibly 1-2 only and may do conservative management/ observation for now. symptoms to watch out for are the following: inflammation, anal pain and/or tenderness, anal discharge and/or bleeding. diet modification should be done if you have difficulty in your bowel movement. in that case, a high fiber diet would be strongly suggested.

hope this helps.

good day!
