I have noticed a small lump on my lower shin which has got slightly bigger in the last 2 months. I only noticed this since I started taking my cholesterol medication. I have been to my doctor who is sending me for a scan, and has told me its nothing to concern myself over, should I be worried about this?
It is not really painful but sometimes can feel bruised.
it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for medical and physical examination. based from your description, it could be a cyst (a sebaceous or a keratinous type), a fibroma or a lipoma. these lesions can occur anywhere in the body and have the tendency to recur. management (medical and surgical) will be directed accordingly.
hope this helps.
good day!!
