Hi, I am 21 years old and just this morning after waking up I went to my bathroom. I looked at myself in the bathroom. Just as I stretched my arms I saw a little pea - sized ball move on the left side of my neck where my collar bone meets. I m kind of scared. I ve never been to the hospital. I ve never had any medical problems. What is it that I saw? What should I do?

Hi Thanks for your query Based on your query, my opinion is 1. Swelling in the neck is most often related to lymph nodes, usually enlarged secondary to infection in the head and neck region. 2. If your swelling is less than a centimeter, not painful, then no need to bother. 3. If the swelling increases in size/ gets painful/ if you have upper respiratory tract infection/ fever, then you need to get examined. 4. This is very trivial, and no need to bother much. Hope this helps. Regards
