What Causes Small Red Patch Of Skin With Bumps On Knee?
i have a small rectangular red mark on my right knee. it looks like a rug burn with bumps that recently apeared. the mark has been there for 4 or 5 months and the bumps just appeared about a week ago. my knee has been feeling weird and hurts on occasion. should i worry about it? it also feels like it moves almost put of place sometimes.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of small red patch of skin with bumps on knee which occur due to presence of excessive sebaceous glands in that area and clogging of skin pores. I would suggest you to :-
- Exfoliate your skin once a week to remove the dead skin and bacteria .
- Apply broad spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 even if your are not under sun exposure to prevent your skin from further damage .
- Apply kojic acid cream at night which is a natural extract of mushroom , very effective and safe for long term use.
- Maintain complete hygiene of the area.
- Wash knee area with cold water and mild soap twice a day .
If condition doesn't start getting better then consult dermatologist for proper examination.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
