I have a small ( a bit bigger than the head of a needle) growth on my neck. Its been there for months and has recently gotten a bit bigger. Its very tiny but I ve never had anything like this before and its causing me much anxiety. What could this be?
The growths on your neck area might be skin tags most probably. Skin tag is also called achrocordon. It is commonly associated with obesity,DM and hyperlipidemias. It is a benign condition. It may be kept untreated. But if you are anxious for these little growths, you may go for treatment.
You consult dermatologist and have firm treatment. Blood tests may be done to rule out DM and hyperlipidemias.
The skin tags may be removed by minor OPD procedure like electrocautery done under local anaesthesia.
I hope you got my answer.
Thanks.
