What Causes Smell Disorder And Migraine?

I have had severe migraines for several months. They will disappear and then come back out of the no where, mostly in the front of my face and forehead and will last for days. Sometimes keeping me in bed. Several times I have also seen smoke in the air like there is fire somewhere and the latest, started about a week ago, the smell of burning rubber, I cam be in the car or at home, does not matter where. I still smell it. Should I be concerned?

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Abnormal smells which you are perceiving appears to be olfactory hallucinations. Migraine does not have a usual association with the same. Other neurological disorders can sometimes be associated with olfactory hallucinations, so a brain MRI would probably be required. For now, I suggest you to visit a neurologist in person to get a detailed neurological examination.

Hope that helps. If you have any further questions, I shall be glad to have you in follow-up.
