Hi, I have reciently been smelling smoke off and on during the day when no one else smells it. It has gotten so bad that I changed the smoke detectors in my house. I was sick several weeks ago and it moved into my ear and actually ruptured my ear drum. Yesterday I went back to the ENT for a follow-up and the hearing has come back but I seem to have lost some hearing in a range that I should not have for a busted ear drum. The doctor said it could have been caused by many things, including a tumur. He wants me to come back in several months to check on it again. I never mentioned the smoke smell to the doctor (not thinking it was related). However after looking on line I have seen a couple of references to brain tumors being related to this smoke smell. Is this correct? Should I call my doctor back and tell him about the smell? Should I be concerned? Thanks, Debbie
