Brown discharge commonly occurs due to old blood, but smelly discharge is indicative of infection. It can be perimenopausal or cancer. Get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get required tests and investigations done to rule out or detect infections conditions like PID, sexually transmitted infections like chlamydia or gonorrhea.
A foreign body (such as a tampon, condom, sex toy, or contraceptive ring) can also cause such smelly discharge. Get per vaginal examination done & get it removed. Your treatment will depend on the diagnosis made. If found to be pregnant you will be managed accordingly. Your tube is tied but sometimes conception does occur if you were doing unprotected penetrative sex.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
