My Dad has strong smell in stool, fever and wrist/ joint pain from the last 5 days. Temperature increased at night and he is eating very little or none. But surprisingly he keep on passing stool. He is diabetic, bed bound and 87 years of age. Very week and fregile. Is this malabsorption??
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I would say that chances of intestinal infection is very likely if I would be doctor of your father then I would treat him with the following medicine, 1) Tab Metronidazole 400 mg twice in day, 2) Tab Acetaminophen three times in day, hope this information helps you, take a good care of your father and have a nice day.
